NorthPoint Rooms 1953 is located in a small village called Markandonata situated in the northern part of the Ionian island of Kefalonia close to the picturesque fishing port of Fiskardo. NorthPoint Rooms is a unique, secluded and peaceful property consisting of six rooms set in three separate buildings within a beautifully planted walled garden. There is a small swimming pool surrounded by comfortable sun-loungers.
We have an outdoor sitting area and an indoor dining and living room where a fireplace corner is available when whether is rainy or chill, a library, and a breakfast kitchen where a largely continental breakfast is presented daily. Kitchen is also available when cooking with a private and personal Chef is requested.
North Point Rooms may be rented individually. Our property is an adults only property; the minimum age allowed is 16 years old.
One man story
The person behind the Primarolia Hotel in Patras that was operated since 1997 is the same one behind the creation and the operation of the Emelisse Hotel in Fiskardo Kefalonia, successfully managed from 2003 till 2016.
Using his experience, his love for travel industry, and the desire of continuous development, he has created new reference points in Ithaca & Kefalonia.
Perantzada Hotel in Ithaca keeps a steady and successful performance up to now, a well-known hotel in Ithaca since beginning of 2000. A neoclassical pension of 1811, a real unique architectural creation, was reborn by great people of modern design such as Varner Panton, Tom Dixon, Philip Stark, Ingo Mauer.
Since 1999 onwards, he is cruising at Ionian islands, organizing daily private cruises via North Point at sea.
In 2017 he added the magnificent North Point Rooms 1953 in Markandonata, in Kefalonia. This is a place of total peace and relaxation. A unit of 6 individual rooms in a secluded area, within a marvelous garden which provides the absolute serenity.
And then, in 2018, it was the year that North Point Houses in Fiskardo, Kefalonia were created and upgraded the local hospitality services of Kefalonia. This is the newest achievement of Haris, and it is the place that combines uniquely the privacy of a house with the facilities of a hotel. Its location is awesome, right above the traditional village of Fiskardo. Three houses which reflect the creativity of Haris who have put his soul in this as well.
This is not the end though, North Point Villas in Markandonata and North Point Rooms in Antipata are coming soon.
After 30 years in tourism industry, he is having a great knowledge of the best places to visit in both Kefalonia and Ithaca, not only the well-known and advertised but the real best places for a total relaxation.
Through Fiskardo Concierge he manages reservations, has direct contact with his guests, organizes tailor made vacations based on his guests’ needs and requirements, plans special occasion events and weddings with the assistance of local photographers, musicians, florists, make up artists and more, takes care of houses/ villas and gardens upon request, arranges transfers for visitors from/ to the airport and daily excursions as well with private luxury cars via Fiskardo Luxury Transfers.
Haris and his team remain at their guests’ disposal 24/7 to satisfy every need and request.
A largely continental breakfast will be served between 8 and 11 each morning. You will have a choice of fruits, breads, pastries, spreads, cereals, eggs and more traditional Greek offerings
Housekeeping will take place between 9 and 12 each day; towels and sheets are changed once during a week’s stay. This will take place on the third or fourth day of you stay.
Swimming Pool is available for use from 10:00 – 20:00. (DO NOT DIVE as the pool is very shallow and you could do yourself serious harm). There is no lifeguard present at any time.
You will be each be given a towel that can be used off the property. Please note that these will be changed once a week with the other laundry.
Excursions, Boat trips, Massage treatments, Transfers and Car hire may be arranged upon request
The quaint fishing village of Fiskardo is situated about 10 minutes away by car.
In the village of Markandonata, in front of the old church, turn left and just before the end of the road on the right side there is a sign that leads you on a wonderful hike through the woods and down to the beach. Dafnoudi beach is a beautiful small pebble beach with a crystal clear waters and small caves and inlets where monk seals use to nest.
This lovely beach is situated about 8 minutes’ drive from the Markandonata in the direction of Fiskardo.
This is probably Kefalonia’s most famous landmark. A magnificent pebble beach set in a large cove with breathtaking crystal clear turquoise water.
The quaint fishing village of Fiskardo is situated about 10 minutes away by car. There is a large array of shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a pharmacy, a post-office and two supermarkets.
